The MYRNA LOY CENTER
is conveniently located in downtown Helena, within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. It is housed in a carefully restored historic jailhouse that provides a unique showcase for performances, meetings and conferences.
For all events, the Myrna Loy Center offers customized sound and lighting services with a full range of audio-visual equipment including video, overhead and slide projectors and projection screens, VCR and big screen TV combinations, podium and microphones.
FACILITIES:
The Myrna Loy Center can provide versatile meeting & event facilities for groups of up to 250. The Center is a non-smoking facility and all public areas are handicapped-accessible.
AUDITORIUM:
The Auditorium features a performance stage measuring 37' in length and 30.5' in depth. It has a full audio-video system which can project 35mm, 16mm, video or slides from a rear control booth, and a 20' x20' motorized front projection screen. The soundboard is 24x6 and the light board is 36 channel; both boards may be operated from either the control booth or sound nest. A loading dock is situated in the wing stage right. A full technical packet is available on request.
The capacity of the 170-seat Auditorium can be increased with additional removable seating to accommodate a maximum of 250 attendees.SCREENING ROOM:
The 55-seat Screening Room has a fixed front projection screen (8'x15') and full audio/visual system that can also project 35mm, 16mm, video, or slides from a rear control booth.
LOBBIES:
The Front Lobby Gallery offers a spacious exhibit or reception area. The Box Office has full ticketing facilities, with fax, photocopy, and Internet services available at all times. The Rear Lobby houses a concession bar and restrooms.
FOOD & BEVERAGES:
The Myrna Loy Center is pleased to recommend a number of outside caterers offering first-class food and service. The Myrna Loy Center is licensed for the sale and consumption of beer and wine.
ENTERTAINMENT:
The Myrna Loy Center can arrange the services of an array of local professional entertainers and musicians for conference/meeting events. Please contact us via email or by phone (406-443-0287) for more information.
